Friends Annual Meeting Notice
Press Release | Friends of Virgin Islands National Park’s Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday, January 27 from 11AM to 2PM at the Trunk Bay Beach pavilions. This public meeting is open to all and is an opportunity for Friends of Virgin Islands National Park and community leaders to deliver updates on priorities for the organization and the park, and to listen to feedback from the community.
The guest speaker will be Dr. David Hall, President of the University of the Virgin Islands. The meeting will also include remarks from Friends Executive Director, Tonia Lovejoy, a swearing-in of new board members, and a question and answer session.
Following the meeting, guests are invited for a social hour enjoying lunch by Every-Ting Kurry and and live music performed by Ms. Eva Chinnery and Mr. Mark Wallace.
The event will take place at the Raintree Cafe at Cinnamon Bay Beach & Campground. It is high season so parking at Cinnamon will be limited. There will be parking available in the gravel lot in Cruz Bay and shuttle buses will leave the lot at 10:15am. A shuttle bus will be available for Coral Bay residents departing from in front of Dazey Drive In (formerly Pickles) at 10:00am. Return shuttles will be available following the meeting.
