Friends May Newsletter

There is so much strength and joy in collective celebration and action. It was definitely evident in the 500 students who hugged our planet on Earth Day, both literally and figuratively, and marched down the road in the Litter Stomp Parade. The success of the Earth Day Fair, like much of what we do, depends on community engagement, donor support, and volunteerism.

This month, we thank everyone who helped bring play to learning at the Earth Day Fair; the Sea Turtle Program volunteers who contributed to a record 3,221 hatchlings making it to the ocean this season; and the community partners, seniors and students who completed a magical mosaic project celebrating these Virgin Islands.

The 22nd Annual Joe Kessler’s Beach To Beach Power Swim on Memorial Day weekend is another event that depends on volunteers on the land and on the water to ensure that all the participants revel safely in the joy of swimming in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Please lend your support to the fundraising for this event or become a member of Friends if you can.
