Friends To Host Virtual Panel Discussion On What It Means To Be A Conversationist In The Virgin Islands
PRESS RELEASE | In this month of Earth Day, Friends of Virgin Islands National Park invites the community to join them for a Conservation Conversation virtual panel discussion on what it means to be a conservationist in the Virgin Islands. The discussion will take place on Monday, April 15 from 10am to 11am with a cross-section of Virgin Islanders passionate about protecting this place and building a healthy future on the panel.
“Conservation means different things to different people,” says Tonia Lovejoy, Executive Director of Friends. “This panel conversation looks to explore the various lenses each of us bring to the conversation, to highlight the common priorities and values we share, and recognize and discuss differences. It appropriately kicks off this month’s Earth Day activities including beach cleanups, a fair for schools, a community plant giveaway, and tree planting under the 2024 theme: “Growing For The Future.””
