Friends of Virgin Islands National Park is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of community-oriented leaders who represent a variety of interests in the Virgin Islands from both the public and private sectors. Officer positions are assigned based on bylaws. The Board meets monthly, requires a seven-member quorum and holds an annual membership meeting to fill any vacant positions and to update members on the state of the organization and the state of the Park. The Friends Annual Meeting which is typically held in January, is public and open to all. The organization's Strategic Plan 2025-2030 was unveiled at the January 2026 meeting.
