Friends of the Park’s Villa Auction Is Live With 30 Amazing Stays to Bid On
News Of St John | November 17, 2025 | Friends of Virgin Islands National Park just opened this year’s Villas for the Park auction, and if you enjoy daydreaming about your next vacation, you will love browsing the catalog. The auction is live now through November 28 and you can click here to take a look.
This fundraiser has grown into one of the biggest ways to support Friends of the Park and their efforts. If you’ve ever run into a turtle patrol on the beach, hiked a freshly cleared trail, or seen local students out learning, this auction plays a part in keeping those programs going.
Friends of the Park Executive Director Tonia Lovejoy said the auction gives people a fun way to enjoy time in the islands while also helping protect the magic of Virgin Islands National Park and Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument. She also mentioned how grateful they are for the villa owners and hotels who donate these stays every year. It really is a big community effort.
There are 30 stays this year, with a great variety across St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix. Below are a few standouts from the list, with a little more detail so you can get a feel for what’s being offered.
The Other World Villa – St. John. The Other World is one of those places you walk into and immediately relax. You enter through a private gate and wind through lush gardens before reaching the main living area, which is open-air with stone columns, archways, and a mix of eclectic furnishings and Caribbean artwork. Both master suites are air-conditioned, each with their own bathrooms, TVs, and French doors that open directly to the views. There’s also a big patio and deck area that’s perfect for long afternoons at home. A bonus room downstairs has a king bed, bunk beds, a TV, and its own deck, so there’s plenty of space for families too. It’s only eight minutes from Cruz Bay but feels peaceful and private.
The Fred Boutique Resort & Spa – St. Croix. If you want a beach getaway on St. Croix, The Fred is one of the best options on the west side of the island. This adults-only hotel sits right on the water in Frederiksted, just steps from the sand. There’s a pool, onsite dining, a spa, and some of the best sunset views on St. Croix. You can walk to shops, restaurants, and the pier, and it’s a great home base for exploring Frederiksted, snorkeling with turtles, and relaxing by the water. It’s a fun, friendly spot with a lot of personality.
Sunnyside Villa – St. John. Sunnyside sits high above Coral Bay with wide open views of the British Virgin Islands and the surrounding hills. The villa has two full levels that can be booked together or separately, which makes it flexible for different-size groups. Each level has its own living room, kitchen, and private covered porch, so everyone gets their own space to unwind. It’s bright, breezy, and comfortable, with easy access to the quieter East End beaches.
On A Clear Day – St. John. This villa sits above Francis Bay at about 170 feet, and the views really are the highlight. You can see St. Thomas, the water, and the hills of the National Park all from the deck. Sunsets from here are incredible. The house has four bedrooms, a large pool, and a layout that’s great for families or groups. It was built with eco-friendly design in mind, using solar power, energy-efficient appliances, LED lighting, and low-flow fixtures. If you like being close to North Shore beaches, you can get to Francis Bay in about two minutes by car or ten minutes on foot.
The Mary Ann Boutique Hotel – St. Thomas. The Mary Ann is a newly renovated boutique hotel tucked near Blackbeard’s Castle in downtown St. Thomas. It has six bedrooms and six bathrooms, each with mini fridges and Nespresso machines. The shared kitchen is fully stocked and the rooftop pool has great views of the harbor. It’s an easy walk to restaurants, shopping, and historic sites. The hotel also celebrates the stories of two legendary female pirates, Mary Read and Anne Bonny, which gives it a fun and unique theme. If you’ve been wanting to explore downtown Charlotte Amalie, this is a great home base.
DreamView on the Hill – St. John. DreamView is perched above Cruz Bay with some of the most open views of Pillsbury Sound and St. Thomas. The home sits on one acre of private land with no other guests on the property. It has cathedral ceilings, a full kitchen, screened porch, multiple decks, and three king bedrooms. There are two gated entrances, parking for up to six vehicles, and solar motion lighting throughout the walkway areas. Inside, you get tall sliding glass doors, comfortable furniture, and a bug-free screened dining area for nights you want to relax at home. The house also has Starlink internet with extenders for each bedroom. It feels tucked away while still being only three miles from Cruz Bay.
There are many more stays in the catalog, from small cottages to boutique hotels to big family villas, so it’s worth taking a few minutes to scroll through everything and see what stands out.
