DESCRIPTION:Monday\, February 23\, 6-7pm at the Cinnamon Bay Raintree Cafe | Free | Join Shelby Adkins\, a graduate student from the University of the Virgin Islands\, to discuss combined Coral Reef and Mangrove habitat! You may have heard of coral reefs\, and you may have heard of mangrove forests\, but did you know they can be combined? These are globally rare habitats where corals grow on and among red mangrove prop roots. Adkins will be giving a seminar on coexisting mangrove-coral habitat in the U.S. Virgin Islands\, and what the recovery of the habitat has looked like following Hurricanes Irma and Maria.  More on Cinnamon Campground Chats here.
